Safe and secured

The Churchillplein, where The Statesman resides, is at the heart of what is called The International Zone of The Hague. Being a focal point of a large number of international organizations, the area is closely secured. And so is The Statesman itself. Five of the current tenants are Embassies, which explains the high level of security measures, including a housekeeper. This doesn’t mean, however, that you are entering an unfriendly area. On the contrary. The Churchillplein is a vivid place. You can find The Statesman next to the World Forum, a popular venue for conferences as well as concerts and shows. Plus, it is a green area. A large forest (The Scheveningse Bosjes) is just a few minutes’ walk. The world famous Gemeentemuseum and its Victory Boogie Woogie is around the corner.
